Benefits of Employment

Compensation
Compensation is competitive and is based upon experience, expertise and leadership qualities. Performance and compensation are reviewed annually at the employee’s anniversary date of hire. During the employee’s first year, an initial review will be conducted after the first six months of employment.

Vacation
Employees accrue from ten to twenty days of paid vacation leave tied to their years of employment.

Sick
Staff accrues five days of paid sick leave per year.

Holidays
WM holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Health Insurance
WM is pleased to report that it pays 100% of the premium for an HMO plan to full-time staff. Employees may upgrade to one of two higher plans at his or her own expense. Any employee paid premiums are a pre-tax benefit under the firm’s premium-only plan.

Dental Insurance
Dental insurance is available to staff with premiums paid by the employee via payroll deduction. The premiums are a pre-tax benefit under the firm’s premium-only plan.

Prescription Plan
Prescription coverage is included in the firm’s health insurance.

Long-term Disability Insurance
Benefits to full-time staff, subject to underwritten approval, begin after a 90-day evaluation period. WM pays the entire premium.

Group Life Insurance
AICPA group term life insurance coverage is provided to all full-time staff, subject to underwriting approval. WM pays the entire premium.

401(k) & Profit Sharing Plan
Full-time staff, 21 years of age or older, may participate in the plan after one year of service during the January 1 or July 1 open enrollment period. There is an employer match and an optional profit sharing contribution.

Initial CPA License
Candidates sitting for the CPA exam will be reimbursed the registration and exam fees for each part of the exam taken upon evidence of a passing score.

CPE (Continuing Professional Education)
WM encourages its staff to stay abreast of current developments and will cover the cost of WM approved courses required for CPA license renewal. The firm will also cover the cost of WM approved courses for non-CPA staff.

Professional License/AICPA/PICPA Renewal Fees
The firm will pay license renewal fees as approved for staff for CPA, AICPA and PICPA dues.

Mentoring
WM believes strongly in the concept of mentoring, particularly for junior accountants. New staff is provided assistance by more experienced staff in technical and procedural areas and also in the firm’s hardware and software.
