Intern and Junior Accountant
Wouch, Maloney & Co., LLP seeks bright, articulate, conscientious accounting majors and graduates to launch their public accounting careers with our expanding CPA firm. Our main office is located in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia.
We are a regional firm with 25 staff members and offices in Horsham, Pennsylvania (our main office), Yardley, Pennsylvania and Fort Myers, Florida. We handle a wide range of industries and are involved in all aspects of our clients’ businesses. Our clients at our main office are located throughout the Delaware Valley, generally within a one hour drive of our office. Much of our work is done at the client’s location and you will be taken into the field in order to meet our clients and put a face to the numbers. There is very little overnight travel for our accounting staff.
We have a mentoring program to facilitate orientation and training. We are prepared to teach you the practical fundamentals of accounting and taxes, while exposing you to the many management consulting services that we provide. Initial tasks will include write-up, bank reconciliations, preparation of tax returns and financial statements.
As you progress, you will be introduced to the many facets of management consulting services such as business valuation, estate planning, profit improvement, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. As your growth continues, we will expand the types and complexities of your assignments. The variation of assignments will be based on your individual progression. Due to our size, you will be involved in all aspects of the services that we provide and will not be limited to one specific area of practice. We will, however, accommodate your desires to specialize in a specific area.
Service to our clients is our primary goal. We strive to provide our clients with the highest quality of professional service in a caring, proactive and responsive manner. We act as a team. We are a young firm and we believe that you will feel comfortable in interacting with all levels of our personnel. We hold annual retreats which are attended by all staff. We welcome your suggestions. Our staff is encouraged to join the firm’s various committees (technology, training, marketing and personnel) so who they may contribute to the firm’s practice in these areas. For individuals that like a challenge, the opportunity for advancement is tremendous. You are limited only by your own desires to advance.
