The State of New Jersey Requires Electronic Submission of Form WR-30 for Certain Employers

Beginning with the first quarter of 2008, the State of New Jersey will no longer issue paper forms to employers who have either opted or have been required to utilize electronic filing services. In connection with this, please note the following conditions:

1. For all calendar quarters after 12/31/2007, Department of Labor and Workforce Development rules require an employer reporting more than 4 employees to file the WR-30 Form electronically, either on-line or through Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP). Accordingly, beginning with the first quarter of 2008, paper WR-30's will no longer be mailed to employers subject to the electronic filing requirement.

2. For all calendar quarters after 12/31/07, the State will not mail forms WR-30 or NJ-927 to those employers who filed their quarterly NJ-927 report electronically for two (2) consecutive quarters the past calendar year 2007.

It is important to note that employers are responsible for making timely submissions irrespective of their filing method. Cessation of package mailings does not change this responsibility.
